Our Team

The single most important factor in determining successful student learning outcomes is the quality of our teachers.

There is compelling, robust International research that has identified the characteristics of high performing schools. Central to these findings is the role of teachers. We care deeply about our people and we know that to have the most positive impact possible on our students, we also need to create a rigorous adult learning environment that is challenging, supportive and engaging.

“Every great leader is clearly teaching and every great teacher is leading” We strive to live out this belief at Prahran High School.
― Robert J. Marzano

We value our teachers and support staff highly and we are committed to their professional growth.

Our Vision for Learning is the centre of our ongoing practice improvement strategy, designed to build teacher capacity and positively impact on student learning outcomes.

Teachers collaborate closely and participate in regular opportunities to reflect on their practice by seeking, giving and receiving feedback with their peers and leaders.

We continue to invest strategically in our profession, understanding that our students deserve and need the highest-skilled teachers and support staff possible.

Learning works best when it’s a true partnership between home and school. We welcome and encourage regular, open and respectful conversation.
